INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL TO MAURITIUS REMAINS SUSPENDED UNTIL AT LEAST 31ST OF MAY
Nosy Be also remains cut off for national and international travel

Mauritius has extended their national lockdown until at least the 30th of April while international travel remains suspended, for now until at least the 31st of May.
Mauritius and Madagascar, both members of the Vanilla Islands marketing alliance of Indian Ocean islands, have therefore not been able to restart tourism arrivals in any meaningful way while the Seychelles has opened up, again, on the 25th of March for international visitors.
While stringent health and safety regulations must be met by visitors to the Seychelles have since the opening day more than 6.000 visitors entered the islands, aided by the recent inaugural flight by Aeroflot from Moscow. This service is now operational twice a week and will provide a much needed shot in the tourism arm of the Seychelles economy.

The French Indian Ocean islands of Mayotte and Reunion are also subject to restrictions in line with French mainland health and safety regulations. No information about Corona related travel restrictions could be sourced for the Comoros Islands.
