When people talk about elephants in Uganda, the imagination often runs wild—beasts roaming the savannah, trumpeting through thick bush, or playing hide-and-seek in Queen Elizabeth National Park. But tucked away in Katunguru village is a different tale. Here, the star attraction is no ordinary elephant. He has a name. He has a personality. And, more strikingly, he has neighbours. They call him John. |
