A particularly special recognition came for the Hemingways Collection this week.
For the second year running, both Hemingways Nairobi and Hemingways Ol Seki Mara have been recognised in the MICHELIN Guide Key Awards with Nairobi retaining One MICHELIN Key and Ol Seki Two MICHELIN Keys.
With only seven properties in #Kenya recognised, and only 14 across #EastAfrica having two Hemingways properties amongst them is something the Hemingways Collection can be very proud of.
It goes without saying it, but this says a lot about what the hospitality group has been building across the Collection. Nairobi and Ol Seki are very different properties, in very different settings, but both have a strong sense of place and their own character. That individuality is important to understand to give due recognition to the two awards.
Congrats to both General Managers Longa Mulikelela and Debbie Paul and their respective teams, as these awards come from the people behind these properties and the standards they maintain every day.

Africa
Africa’s 2026 MICHELIN Guide selection expands to 113 Key hotels, with 28 new Keys and promotions. Four destinations – Benin, Botswana, Rwanda and Zimbabwe – receive their first-ever MICHELIN Keys, further expanding the Guide’s presence across the continent. Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch becomes Africa’s newest Three-Key hotel, while One&Only Gorilla’s Nest joins Rwanda’s growing Key selection, offering access to gorilla trekking in the Virunga Mountains. In Fez, Morocco, Riad Mayfez Suites & Spa is a new One-Key addition, recognised for its distinctive riad experience.
Kenya
Other properties recognized in Kenya are the Giraffe Manor, Faimont the Norfolk, Sankara Nairobi and the Majlis Resort in Lamu, among others.
