Middle Eastern Airlines forced to cancel, postpone and reroute flights

Airlines in the middle East, from Kuwait over Bahrain, Qatar, the entire UAE and Oman – among others including European carriers – have taken steps to protect their operations and passengers in view of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

The ongoing exchange of missiles and drones, but also air attacks, made the airspace over the Gulf unsafe and airspace closures from several countries promptly followed, denying take offs, landings and overflights for their national airlines but also airlines from for instance, Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Passengers booked on such airlines from the East African airports of Entebbe, Nairobi, Mombasa but also Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, also including Juba, Mogadishu, Bujumbura and Kigali, are therefore advised to contact their airline about the operation of their booked flights via hubs in the Middle Eastern region.

The same applies for passengers intending to fly to East Africa – and Africa in general – from Europe, Asia and the Americas, should they be booked on airlines with home bases in said countries.
