This is the ONLY run in Uganda where you have the chance to run alongside zebras and impalas, and perhaps even topi and warthogs.

Nothing feels better than running Wild!

Running Wild! at the Mihingo Charity Run and Mountain Bike Event.

This is the 4th Mihingo Charity Run supporting Mihingo Conservation Foundation. MCF, with the help of Christel Orth, Zina Linch and Iddy Farmer, has financed the building of Steven’s School which teaches 180 children. A total of over UGX20 Million has been spent on the school last year alone to build 2 classrooms and toilets. MCF has also paid secondary education for several children from the local area.

Last year MCF compensated 153 livestock (122 cows and 31 goats), of which 130 were killed and 23 injured by leopard and hyena. We pay the farmers compensation and remove the carcases in order to prevent the predators from being poisoned. Last year alone we spent UGX 30,291,000. We have also helped farmers to improve kraals to prevent livestock being killed. The hyena population has made a wonderful recovery and Lake Mburo now has one of the highest leopard concentrations ever recorded.

We would love to do more and with your support will be able to achieve this. Iddy Farmer, who lives at Mihingo, is in charge of all the MCF projects and works to ensure that your money is well spent and that these projects really do help the surrounding communities and the animals that share them.
