Momentous days for RwandAir

RWANDAIR’S WEEK OF FAME

(Posted 27th May 2017)

RwandAir this week celebrates two major milestone events which concludes a major growth phase in destinations and fleet.
First did RwandAir yesterday commence flights to London Gatwick, which will be served three times a week, nonstop from Kigali.
With their entry into the long haul business has RwandAir set a signal, in the region and the continent, that they mean business and have carved out a market segment for themselves, connecting many parts of Africa via Kigali to the UK.

With now 21 destinations, domestic, regional, continental, to the Gulf, India and as of yesterday the UK has RwandAir shown that aviation in Africa does not have to be an automatic loser as seen in many other countries but can become a strategic tool to connect a country once strong government support is extended to the industry.
Next on the celebration agenda will be the arrival, tomorrow, of the airline’s fourth brand new Boeing B737-800NG, which brings the overall fleet of the airline to a full dozen aircraft.

WiFi enabled, like her sistership which was delivered a few months ago, does the new aircraft off a two class layout of Business and Economy while the cabin interior, like the other three B737-800NG’s also sports Boeing’s award winning ‘SkyInterior‘.
The additional jet will allow RwandAir to roll out additional destinations this year in Africa while at the same time increasing flight frequencies on key routes.

From this correspondent it is congratulations, to management past and present for their vision and their undeterred march towards this week’s key events, and the entire staff of RwandAir, on the ground and in the air, for this massive accomplishment.
