More Airlink connections from #Johannesburg to #Mozambique

AIRLINK ANNOUNCES THREE ADDITIONAL ROUTES TO ITS MOZAMBIQUE NETWORK

Following the lifting of travel restrictions out of South Africa has Airlink added yet more destinations in Mozambique, among them Pemba, Beira and Vilanculos.

These services provide travellers with seamless connectivity with Airlink’s new services linking Johannesburg with Cape Town and also with Durban. Connections are also available to Airlink’s other South African destinations and to key destinations throughout the SADC region.

Airlink’s Economy Class fares include a 20kg free economy class checked in luggage allowance plus a 15kg sporting equipment allowance. Onboard, customers are treated to a complimentary light meal, refreshments and a choice of aisle or window seat (our flights do not have middle seats).

Johannesburg/Pemba commencing on 28 October 2020
The flight will depart Johannesburg on Wednesdays and Fridays at 09h30 arriving in Pemba at 13h20. The return flight will depart Pemba at 13h50 arriving in Johannesburg at 16h10.

Johannesburg/Vilanculos commencing on 10 November 2020
The flight will depart Johannesburg on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11h30 arriving in Vilanculos at 13h00. The return flight will depart Vilanculos at 13h35 arriving in Johannesburg at 15h20.

Johannesburg/Beira commencing on 10 November 2020
The flight will depart Johannesburg on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11h05 arriving in Beira at 12h45. The return flight will depart Beira at 13h10 arriving in Johannesburg at 15h10.

COVID-19 Health and Safety onboard Airlink flights

During these stressful times, health and safety – yours and ours – remains our primary concern. Our aircraft are equipped with High Efficiency Particulate Air Filters (HEPA), which are effective at blocking 99.97% of particulates, including Coronavirus molecules. These HEPA filters continually sterilize the air in our cabins, which is renewed entirely every three minutes.

Mozambique Travel regulations

Visa Requirements:

Please note, Mozambique’s immigration authorities currently do not issue visas upon arrival, except for passengers who are in possession of written authorisation from the relevant authority.

South African citizens travelling for business require a business visa.

Leisure travellers must present documented proof of their confirmed hotel booking when checking in for their flights

Travellers visiting family are permitted to enter the country, provided that they are in possession of an accurate address and local phone number of the person they are visiting.

Airlink recommends that travellers check with the appropriate Mozambican government authority for the latest regulations for travel between SA and Mozambique.

Please note that all arriving travellers are now required to provide a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test certificate, issued by an accredited laboratory in line with World Health Organisation standards, no more than 72 hours before the date of travel. South African Authorities reserve the right to verify the authenticity of presented PCR test certificates. Arriving travellers unable to produce a valid certificate will be required to quarantine, at their own cost, for 10 days. South Africa also requires visitors to carry valid travel insurance policies that cover the costs associated with COVID-19 testing and quarantining.
