KENYA AIRWAYS INTRODUCES THE B787 DREAMLINER ON THE ROUTE TO KINSHASA

SkyTeam member Kenya Airways’ Kinshasa flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, leaving in the morning at 07.55 hrs local time under flight number KQ 554, will now be operated by the airline’s new B787-8 Dreamliner as the previously used B767-300ER’s are phased out from the fleet.
Flights KQ 550 on Friday, Monday and Wednesday will continue to be served with the B737-800NG as will the evening service KQ 552 which leaves Nairobi at 21.00 hrs local time on Friday and Sunday.
Routes across Africa which were in the past served by the aged B767’s will now see the progressive introduction of the new B787’s, of which five are already delivered and a sixth such aircraft will arrive later in the year before a further three will join the fleet of Kenya Airways in early 2015.
