Passengers from Qatar Airways six East Africa destinations will soon have a wider choice of flights when traveling to the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Qatar Airways is also launching new direct flights from Doha to Belgrade from 16th of March, a destination currently served by the airline via Sofia, shortening the journey time to and from the capital of Serbia for initially four flights a week.

In response to increasing demand for flights to and from the Russian capital will one of the airline’s double-daily services to Moscow Domodedovo International Airport be served with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which offers 122 more seats per departure than the A320 aircraft previously used for this flight. The Boeing B787 has 254 seats in total with 22 Business Class seats with a unique fishbone 1-2-1 configuration, and 232 Economy Class seats with a 3-3-3 layout.

Flights to Warsaw, the Polish capital, will be upgraded to the Airbus A330 aircraft from 01st of July this year, increasing seat capacity on the daily scheduled service from Doha. Warsaw is presently served by Airbus A320 equipment as is the second daily frequency to Moscow.

The airline only recently concluded a special sales period in Uganda with fares in average dropping by 20 percent and as a result have seats been sold to travel savvy Ugandans in record numbers.
