#NAIROBI’S WILSON AIRPORT SET TO OUTGUN #JKIA FOR DOMESTIC CONNECTIONS
(Posted 11th October 2017)
Silverstone Air, a sister company to Skyward, yesterday (Tuesday 10th of October) launched flights between Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and Kisumu, Kenya’s lakeside city but also from Wilson Airport to Ukunda.
The company’s Managing Director Mr. Somow – who is also the CEO of Skyward – during the launch also announced that the airline would aim to launch nonstop flights between Mombasa and Kisumu later this year while also eying Malindi. Sister company Skyward flies from Wilson Airport twice a day to Mombasa with one flight continuing to Lamu, the only scheduled service between the two coastal destinations.
Return tickets from Wilson Airport Nairobi to Kisumu and Ukunda are at sale for 9.000 Kenya Shillings, taxes included.
The airline operates two Bombardier Dash8 and three Fokker50 aircraft.

This comes hot on the heels of Ms. Caroline of Jetways, an airline presently flying scheduled services from Wilson Airport to Wajir, telling this correspondent at the Magical Kenya Travel Expo that they too intend to launch scheduled flights to Ukunda before expanding their network to include the Masai Mara. Expect an update on this airline and their plans in due course.
