DEMAND FOR VISITS TO #STHELENA RESULTS IN MORE FLIGHTS
(Posted 20th July 2018)
19 additional flights will be scheduled by SA Airlink to the British Overseas Territory of St. Helena – best known as the place of exile and eventual death for Napoleon Bonaparte after his lost battle of Waterloo.
Growing demand has led to these flights being added on Wednesdays between December 2018 and April 2019 in addition to the regular scheduled Saturday flight which operates between Johannesburg and St. Helena / Jamestown – with a tech stop enroute in Namibia for refuelling. The return flight then routes directly back to Johannesburg.
Also maintained is the scheduled flight every second weekend of a month to the sister island of Ascension though one additional flight will be scheduled in both December and January according to the airline.
