AIRLINE UPS JKIA – KISUMU FLIGHTS TO 24 A WEEK
(Posted 16th August 2018)
Jambojet will, effective 03rd September, add four additional flights between Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Kisumu.
The new services will bring the overall number of flights to 24 a week.
Operating on Sundays, Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays is the added capacity aimed at catering for weekend travel between the two cities.
The development is also seen to counter additional flights launched between Nairobi’s second airport, Wilson, and Kisumu with Wilson having a competitive advantage over JKIA vis a vis distance and less bothersome security arrangements.
The latest airline to fly from Wilson to Kisumu is Kenya’s leading beach and bush airline Safarilink with two departures a day, using a Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft with fares as low as 4.500 Kenya Shillings, one way, all taxes and fees included.
