New Routes for 2026 Tropic Air 10to4 Mountain Bike Challenge
What’s your choice for 2026?
We have introduced TWO new elements to the Tropic Air 10to4 event for 2026 – the CLAMBER and the SWIFT – and changed the format of the SLIDE. Please read on carefully to make sure you register for the right route for YOU!
CLAMBER
For the first time, we’re inviting runners to take part in the 10to4 event. Are YOU tough enough to take on a 10km foot race across Borana Conservancy?!

For runners aged 12 years and over, the route will have a couple of serious climbs tucked in amongst fabulous scenery, gorgeous views, and a high chance of close encounters with wildlife. As on the bike routes, the Clamber will be fully covered by rangers and there will be water points along the way.
SWIFT
A new bike race for 2026, this is the one for our younger (and young at heart!) riders who have outgrown the Slide and are ready to compete on the mountain.

The Swift will follow the same route as the Slide and will set off immediately after the Rush. This is the entry-level race for those of you who want to test yourself, and there’ll be 1st, 2nd and 3rd medals for adults and under 16s, and prizes for under 16s.
SLIDE
Fun for all the family – whether you’re 8 or 80, you’ll love the Slide! An experience rather than a race, take your time and enjoy the stunning landscape.

The Slide is stepping back a notch, and in 2026 will be an adventure ride rather than a race. Ideal for youngsters who are ready to take on the mountain for the first time with their families, and those of any age who want a more relaxed experience without the pressure or hustle and bustle of competing. As such, there will be no medals or prizes for the Slide – your prize will be the fantastic experience you’ll have en route!

IF YOU’VE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THE SLIDE AND WOULD LIKE TO SWAP TO THE SWIFT, JUST GET IN TOUCH AND WE’LL MAKE THE CHANGE FOR YOU.
All other races remain the same as in previous years ….
