MOUNT KENYA IS THE VENUE FOR AN EPIC MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE

Mount Kenya will provide the backdrop and venue for this unique mountain bike race, which will take place between the 24th and 28th of November, starting and ending at the Naro Moru River Lodge between Nanyuki and Isiolo.
Teams will compete in men, women or mixed categories. The men and women teams are subdivided in: open, sub-vet, vet and master categories.
Categories are determined by the age of the younger of the two riders in the team:
- open men/women – the younger participants must be between the age of 19 and 29 years on 31 December of the year in which the race takes place
- sub-vet men/women – the younger participants must be between the age of 30 and 39 years on 31 December of the year in which the race takes place
- vet men/women – the younger participants must be between the age of 40 and 49 years on 31 December of the year in which the race takes place
- master men/women – the younger participants must be 50 on 31 December of the year in which the race takes place

Please note that in the interest of riders’ safety have the organizers amended the event dates, length and route to accommodate the erratic weather pattern currently being experienced in the region
- Prologue: Starts at 2.00 pm from Naro Moru River Lodge on Saturday 24th October 2017

- Stage 2: To be advised ( TBA)
- Stage 3 (Final Stage): To be advised ( TBA)
- The race will start and finish at Naro Moru River Lodge.
