#Nairobi Wilson Airport closure – yes, AGAIN

WILSON AIRPORT TO BE CLOSED AGAIN ON 12TH DECEMBER FROM MID TO LATE MORNING

(Posted 09th December 2017)

Airlines based at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport have put out an alert that flight operations at the airport will shut down from mid to late morning, with no specific times given however.
Passengers booked on mid to late morning outbound flights, or expecting to return to Nairobi during that period, are therefore notified that their departure and arrival times will be subject to change. Those affected are advised to contact their respective airlines like Safarilink, Air Kenya and others to ascertain if their departures will be brought forward or pushed until after the reopening of the airport.

The same situation arose a year ago (https://atcnews.org/2016/12/08/independence-day-celebrations-in-kenya-set-to-interrupt-air-traffic/) as a result of planned Air Force aerial displays which led to the temporary closure of not just Wilson but also Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
