AMBER HOTEL TO REBRAND UNDER FRANCHISE AGREEMENT AS DOUBLE TREE BY HILTON

(Posted 05th October 2017)

The Amber Hotel, in the past already written about here, has according to information received during the just concluded Magical Kenya Travel Expo in Nairobi decided to sign a franchise agreement with Hilton Hotels and will rebrand before the end of the year as a Double Tree by Hilton.
The hotel, opened in 2016, is presently undergoing some refurbishment to meet the criteria for Double Tree standards before officially raising the new flag by the end of December.
Current General Manager Elisha Katam will remain at the helm of the team as the property’s owner will continue to oversee the management of his hotel but align with Hilton’s Double Tree requirements.
It can now also be confirmed that the Amber Hotel is in no way associated with Sovereign Hotels contrary to claims made by this obscure hotel management company just like the owners of the Eka Hotel in Nairobi and the Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli have equally denounced Sovereign for misleading the public with their claims.
