ETHIOPIA’S NATIONAL AIRWAYS DUE TO LAUNCH ADDIS ABABA TO MOGADISHU FLIGHTS NEXT WEEK

Come next Wednesday will Ethiopia’s National Airways commence flights between the Ethiopian capital city of Addis Ababa and the Somali capital Mogadishu, restoring air services which for well near four decades have been impossible due to the past political situation between the two countries. The route will be served initially three times a week.
But like it happened with relations between Ethiopia and Eritrea has detente broken out here too following a radical change of foreign policy by Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
This comes hot on the heels of the same airline earlier in August also launching flights to the Puntland region’s capital of Garoowe.
All flights will be conducted with Embraer ERJ145 jet aircraft.
