New Seychelles President starts his term of office with new staff appointments

NEW APPOINTMENTS AT STATE HOUSE VICTORIA AS PRESIDENT DANNY FAURE TAKES OATH OF OFFICE

The newly sworn in President of the Republic of Seychelles, H.E. Danny Faure has appointed senior officials in the Office of the President earlier today, effective 16th October 2016.

Mr. Mohammed Afif remains the Secretary of State for Cabinet Affairs. Mrs. Jeanne Siméon, the former Principal Secretary for the Vice-President, is the new Deputy Cabinet Secretary.

Mr. Callixte d’Offay remains the Diplomatic Adviser to the President.

Mrs. Aude Labaleine, the former Director General in the Vice-President’s Office, has been appointed as Secretary of State for Presidential Affairs.

Ms. Jessie Esparon is the Chief Secretary and Head of the Civil Service.

The former Mayor of Victoria, Mrs. Jacqueline Moustache Belle, has been appointed as Chief of Presidential Protocol.

The former Special Adviser to the Vice-President, Mr. Bertrand Belle, is the Economic Adviser to the President.

The former Special Adviser to the Vice-President, Mr. Hans Aglae is the Special Adviser to the President.

The new Principal Secretary in the President’s Office is Ms Marie-Claire Marie.

Ms. Nadine Jack has been appointed as Chief Press Secretary in the Office of the President.

Previous office holders have reportedly been retired or are awaiting re-deployment into other positions.

All eyes are now on the potential changes to President’s Faure’s government and announcements are expected in due course.
