Serengeti Simba Lodge
Earlier this year we hosted bloggers The World Pursuit and Be My Travel Muse. Cameron and Natasha of the World Pursuit filmed super videos of the lodges for us. If you haven’t seen them check out our You Tube Channel. All the drone footage including wildlife was shot directly from our lodges and not inside the national parks!

We’re constantly astounded by the richness and diversity of wildlife in the Ikona WMA, site of Serengeti Simba. Without entering the adjacent national park guests can view giraffe and topi, herds of elephants, colobus monkeys, waterbuck, reedbuck and more. Lions are seen mating several times a year at the bottom of our hill and recently guests found a mother leopard with two cubs in sight of the lodge. The migration also passes by twice yearly in July/August and again in October/November.
| Tarangire Simba Lodge The newest of our lodges continues to go from strength to strength. Open just two years, Tarangire Simba Lodge has become a favourite among our guests. The lodge borders the national park and wildlife is constantly on the move, passing through the grounds, with elephants often visiting the swimming pool! Giraffe, zebra, warthog and more delight guests from the viewing platform and tent verandahs.Our outdoor showers are a big hit, and these, along with the delicious food and friendly staff get mentioned frequently in Trip Advisor reviews. Tarangire Simba was awarded a certificate of excellence this year joining Serengeti and Karatu with consistently high marks from travellers.
This season we added four new tents, bringing the total to 20 including family rooms, in order to meet the increasing demand from visitors. Located just a short distance from the Sangaiwe Gate with views on to Lake Burunge, many keen birders are also discovering this is excellent location. |
Karatu Simba Lodge Strategically located between Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Karatu Simba continues to offer guests a slice of rural life in Tanzanian.
