Dear ATC Readers,
This week NRT’s central headquarters will host the annual meeting of the NRT Council of Elders and Board of Directors. This is an opportunity for us to discuss the past year – to share stories, successes, learnings and inevitably, failures. The data for all of this is presented in our 2017 State of Conservancies Report, which I’m delighted to announce has now been printed and is available for download.
It is also a good time to launch our new website. It’s got a fresh, clean look that enables us to share who we are, what we do and why we do it in a way that we hope is engaging and accessible. You can find it on our same URL – www.nrt-kenya.org
Also coming soon – our second NRT Quarterly magazine. You can find the first one here.
Lastly, in the coming months, we look forward to sharing with you our 2018-2022 strategic plan, which we are currently hard at work on in consultation with our partners. The strategic plan will centre around four major themes – governance, peace and security, livelihoods and businesses and sustainable resource management and conservation – aiming to ensure that conservation continues to directly impact the lives of communities.
As always, we remain grateful for your support and interest in our work,
Asanteni,
Tom Lalampaa / CEO
