Dear Friend of Ol Pejeta: |

|
We just can’t get enough of endangered babies! |
As our little abandoned rhino calf goes from strength to strength, another endangered baby has arrived in Ol Pejeta. Thankfully, there is no need for this one to be taken in to our care.
This adorable little Grevy’s zebra calf was born in the endangered species enclosure on Saturday 28th November. There are fewer than 2,500 Grevy’s zebra left in the wild, 90% of them are found in northern Kenya. |

Facebook milestone
The conservation world is full of uphill battles, but when we’re having a tough day, all we have to do is look at our Facebook page. The kind words of support that are sent to us from all over the world really keep us going. This month, we hit 50,000 likes – thank you to all of our cyberspace friends for making this happen and we hope to continue enjoying your support for years to come.

Eco-friendly e-learning
Thanks to Rift Valley Adventures, the International School of Kenya and BRCK, students at Irura Primary School now have access to 40 customised tablets that aim to enrich the student’s learning through internet access, educational materials and games. The content library (server) and the internet both run from solar power, making it financially and environmentally sustainable.

That jackals are monogamous? They mate for life. Pairs will stay together defending their territory and raising pups ’till death do them part. |
