Dear ATCNews Readers,
We’re very excited to bring you the 2020 Virtual Ultra Marathon!
Now in its third year, the Virtual Ultra has inspired participants from all over the world, and raised more than US$ 32,000 for rangers and wildlife conservation in Kenya.
We’ve changed the route a bit and are hoping to convince some of you to take up the challenge of covering 1,200 kms in 365 days. You can run, walk, cycle, row or ride your way along a virtual map across Kenya, learning about various conservancies and national parks on your way. This is a superb way to get a headstart on your resolutions and make 2020 your most active year yet.
All you need to do is sign up, pay the registration fee and then start logging your sessions! A more detailed breakdown on how it works can be found here.
Over the next 12 months, you will also need to raise US$ 1,000 as part of your Virtual Ultra commitment. Every cent will be used to keep our wild animals safe – from buying new equipment for rangers to treats for our incredible anti-poaching dogs.
As ever, we’re enormously grateful for your support and look forward to seeing who signs up for the latest Virtual Ultra!
Wishing you a fit and happy 2020.
