UGANDA PARAMOTOR TOUR PART TWO
(Posted 09th February 2015)
Uganda’s first ever paramotor tour in November last year proved to be a major success and the first edited ‘teaser’ 5 minute clip was recently uploaded on YouTube. This will allow potential visitors to Uganda to see some of the country’s wide range of attractions from a very unusual perspective, airborne but at relatively low level.
Edited and un-edited footage will be availed to all participants in the exercise, Uganda’s Ministry of Tourism, the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the lodges and resorts which contributed to the tour’s success.
Weather made visits to some properties and parts of the national parks impossible at the time and pilot and airbone cameraman Jean-Michel Hausman will set out soon again to attempt and capture aerial views of the places which missed out in November.
Among those will be the Equator Snow Lodge which is located right at the boundary of the Rwenzori National Park. The new lodge was on the 17th of January officially opened by Uganda’s Tourism Minister Dr. Maria Mutagamba. The four cabin property provides a perfect base to explore the lower slopes of the Mountains of the Moon, with a one day looped hiking trail open for visitors who do not want to ascend the mountain further but nevertheless like to take home an experience of Uganda’s equatorial alpine region.
Also on the itinerary is the secluded Jacana Safari Lodge on Lake Nyamusingire and the RainForest Lodge in Mabira National Forest.
