CARLSON REZIDOR’S SECOND BRAND TO LAUNCH IN KENYA NEXT YEAR

Carlson Rezidor sources have confirmed that they now expect their second brand, the Westlands based Park Inn by Radisson, to open by February next year, after the project experienced some delays in the final phase towards completion.
This also affected the opening of sister hotel Radisson Blu Nairobi last year but notably also other pending hotel projects by different companies seeking to establish a presence in Kenya and in fact East Africa with in particular the crucial finishing phase often taking more time than anticipated.
The 4* Nairobi Park Inn by Radisson will be joined by a sister hotel in Kigali, also due to open next year, further widening CR’s footprint in the region.
The company first opened a hotel nearly 17 years ago in South Africa and now covers 19 countries with some 35 properties under management.
This figure however is set to increase in coming years with a number of new projects in various development stages in the pipeline across the continent.
