Kenya’s Porini Safari Camps has won the category of “Kenya’s Leading Safari Camp Brand” at the prestigious 30th Annual World Travel Awards, often described as the “Oscars of the Travel Industry”.
The Africa, Indian Ocean & Middle East Awards were announced at a colourful ceremony held earlier this week at the Atlantis The Royal Dubai Hotel in the United Arab Emirates.
Now in its 30th year, World Travel Awards acknowledges and rewards excellence in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry worldwide. It is recognised globally as the hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
For over 30 years have Porini Safari Camps been committed to protecting habitat for wildlife and supporting the local communities while providing an authentic high quality safari experience. This has resulted in significant improvement to livelihoods of the local people as much as to the wildlife, and their conservancies now have one of the highest densities of free roaming lions in Kenya.
All Porini camps have a low eco-footprint and have been 100% solar for almost 30 years with every tent helping to protect 700 acres of habitat.
Porini Safari Camps take this opportunity to thank all guests and trade partners that voted for them. They have also acknowledged the dedication of the amazing teams at all the Porini Camps and the greater Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini family, who have all been incredible ambassadors for their award winning brand.
