JAMES RATTOS RETURNS TO MARRIOTT AS NEW GENERAL MANAGER FOR THE PROTEA HOTEL BY MARRIOTT KAMPALA SKYZ

James Rattos, hotelier by heart, has taken up a new appointment in Kampala as General Manager of the Protea Hotel by Marriott Kampala Skyz.
While looking back at a distinguished career in the hotel industry spanning over the past decades is James looking forward to the new challenge, especially given the current situation for the entire global and local hospitality industry as a result of COVID19.
The 141 room and suites hotel offers guests a commanding view of the city, and Lake Victoria in the distance, from the top of Naguru Hill.
The rooms range from standard rooms over executive suites to a fully fledged Presidential Suite and the hotel also offers a variety of dining options and bars.
James’ journey through the hotel industry saw him hold senior positions at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel – also in the Marriott stable – before working as General Manager and Group General Manager for such companies like the Enashipai Resort in Naivasha, Sokoni Ltd. in Kampala and Sun Africa Hotels in Kenya.
James has been a great supporter of SKAL and served several terms of office as club president in Kampala.
