BOTSWANA WELCOMES THE QATAR AIRWAYS INAUGURAL FLIGHT
(Posted 16th December 2019)
Botswana is now connected to the global destination network of Qatar Airways after the airline yesterday launched flights to the country’s capital Gaborone.
The new service will operate initially three times a week on a nonstop basis, using an Airbus A350-900 on the route which offers Qatar Airways’ award winning two class cabin layout of Business and Economy.
Travelers from around the world can now reach Botswana, one of Africa’s great safari destinations, with but one stop in Doha, considerably easing the pain of having to connect through several airports.
Qatar Airways, in Eastern Africa, serves Entebbe daily with a Boeing B787 before returning to Doha via Kigali in Rwanda. Nairobi is served three times a day while Mombasa is connected to Doha with five weekly flights.
In Tanzania does Qatar Airways fly to Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam and also to Zanzibar.
