QATAR AIRWAYS ADDS THIRD DAILY FLIGHT TO PARIS
(Posted 08th June 2013)
Qatar Airways, presently flying double daily to Dar es Salaam and Nairobi and daily to Kilimanjaro, Entebbe and Kigali, has just revved up their daily frequencies between Doha and Paris, ahead of the upcoming summer travel season.
The city of the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre continues to command rising global interest for travelers and while Parisians stream out of their own capital city for their summer vacations, foreign tourist more than make up for it by flooding it en masse.
An airline source has stressed that while the new airport is not yet operational, until some pending technical issues have been resolved, the source also did mention that Qatar Airways was in any case only to move their entire operation to the new facility by the end of this year. The present Doha International Airport has however seen continued improvements to be ready for the jump in passenger numbers expected for the summer season and those flying in premium class can enjoy the award winning lounges which have, during the travel award season, again scooped major global recognition. These additional 3 weekly flights were only possible because of the closeure of the Nice-Doha flight via Milan due to Air Traffic Rights.
Qatar Airways was suppose to increase this flight in 2011 like it was planned when it opened in november 2010, and make it a daily nonstop flight, able to challenge Emirates, which now operate Nice-Dubai nonstop daily and in B777-300. Emirates has waited 14 years before having average Air Traffic Rights but has never stop it’s flight from Nice, thats why it is so succesful today.
The problem is that Qatar Airways is still learning how to compete with Emirates, but it’s not with an exit strategy that it will work well.

The best solution to go to Nice, from the Middle East, Eastern Africa, Asia or Pacific, is to take Emirates via Dubai, this will maby be the opportunity to see Qatar Airways to resume it’s flight to Nice because when we pretend to be it’s main challenger we don’t adopt an exit strategy, but a strategy of audacity.
