Qatar Airways CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer replaced with immediate effect

Qatar Airways has earlier today appointed Mr. Hamad Ali Al-Khater as Group CEO effective immediately,  07th of December 2025. He was formerly holding the position of Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport He is succeeding Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.

This development follows in the footsteps of the sudden – and yet to be fully explained – departure of former Qatar Airways CEO Mr. Akbar Al Baker, who led Qatar Airways over his 27 year tenure during which he turned the airline into the aviation force it is today.
