Qatar Airways Commercial Manager in the Seychelles briefs Civil Aviation Minister

MINISTER ST. ANGE RECEIVES QATAR AIRWAYS MANAGER AHEAD OF INAUGURAL FLIGHT

Qatar Airways will be starting flights to Seychelles effective 12th December and earlier today did Mr. Eliel Zeitouni, the newly appointed Commercial Manager of the airline based in Seychelles pay a courtesy call on Minister Alain St. Ange, the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine. Also present at the meeting that took place at the ESPACE Offices of the Ministry in Victoria were Mr. Garry Albert, the PS for Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Ms, Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism and Mrs. Sherin Francis, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board.

Mr. Zeitouni of Qatar Airways briefed Minister St. Ange and the support he was receiving and confirmed that the first flight of Qatar Airways was scheduled for 08.50 hrs (a.m.) on the 12th of December. The daily flights will be operated with an Airbus A320 with 144 seats, 12 in the airline’s award winning Business Class and 132 in Economy Class. The aircraft will remain on the ground at Seychelles International Airport for the day before departing back to Doha at 19.20 hrs (p.m.) where on arrival global connectivity is assured for passengers traveling beyond Doha.

Minister St. Ange used the meeting to welcome Mr. Eliel Zeitouni to Seychelles and reassured him that the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine will remain good facilitators for them and for all airlines flying to Seychelles. Said the Minister: ‘We shall be with you at the airport to welcome your first service and assure you that we shall work with you for the success of Seychelles Tourism and also of Qatar Airways‘.
