B777-300ER VERSUS AIRBUS A350-XWB – QATAR AIRWAYS NOW OFFERS A CHOICE ON FLIGHTS TO NEW YORK

The launch this week of a second daily flight from Doha to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport has seen the airline’s most advanced aircraft, the Airbus A350-900 deployed on the route.
The addition of the second flight follows soon after the airline launched daily services to Boston and ahead of the planned June 01st inaugural flight to Atlanta.

The other daily flight is operated by a Boeing B777-300ER while Boston and Philadelphia are also served with the A350-900. The aircraft offers on board WiFi and GSM service in both Business and Economy Class.
The additional flights and new destinations in the United States, and in fact across the globe, have made Qatar Airways the airline of choice for many travelers from Eastern Africa, where the carrier serves Addis Ababa, Asmara, Djibouti, Nairobi, Entebbe, Kigali but also Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam and the holiday island of Zanzibar.
Said one of Kampala’s leading travel agents earlier today when discussing the development: ‘If we have one issue it is that Entebbe gets an Airbus A320 once a day. I think we could sell more passengers on Qatar Airways if maybe we had a second flight on the route. After all, this service combines with Kigali and there Qatar Airways is the only Gulf carrier after FlyDubai has withdrawn.
