QATAR AIRWAYS SEEKS TO RECRUIT CABIN CREW IN KAMPALA
(Posted 12th April 2014)
Qatar Airways has announced that they will be holding a recruitment exercise for cabin crew on the 19th of April in Kampala.
Applicants need to be at least 21 years old, have to be absolutely fluent in English, must have completed their secondary school education and require to have an ‘arm reach’ of 212 centimetres.
Interviews will be conducted at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Saturday the 19th of April from 09.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs and applicants must bring with them a full CV, passport sized photographs and educational qualification documents. A ‘formal’ attire is required to be worn by applicants, so – as a hint from this correspondent to help a little in preparing for the interview – arriving in jeans and t-shirts and wearing trainers or flip flops will immediately end the prospects to be seen in the first place. Suit and tie for men and a formal business dress for ladies – not to be mistaken with traditional wear – is strongly recommended in order to make a positive impression. It is also recommended that mobile phones be switched off completely when entering the interview room.
Those applicants who are shortlisted by the company will be invited back for a second interview the following day.
This recruitment is part of the undertaking given by Qatar Airways at the time when they commenced daily flights from Doha to Entebbe, that young Ugandan’s will have employment opportunities with the airline which is based in Doha, Qatar’s capital city. Those selected will be living in Doha where they can expect to be accommodated by the airline and earn an attractive tax free salary package.
With a fast growing destination network and a fast growing fleet, Qatar Airways is one of the Gulf giant airlines flying passengers from Africa via Doha to the rest of the world. For more information on the airline click on www.qatarairways.com. Best of luck to all those who come well prepared!

Check with the airline but from experience I would say that the better your educational qualifications are the better are your chances to be considered.
