QATAR AIRWAYS DEPLOYS LARGER AIRCRAFT TO GUANGZHOU, WARSAW AND GENEVA

Qatar Airways, following a sharp rise in demand for travel to the Chinese city of Guangzhou, has introduced their Airbus A380 on the route, upgrading the seat and cargo capacity significantly. This is Qatar Airways fourth A380 destination across the airline’s network, following Paris, London and Bangkok. With a seat capacity of 8 First Class apartments, 48 Business Class seats and 461 seats in Economy Class, totaling to 519 passengers overall, is this a very sharp rise in seats compared to the previously used Boeing B777-300ER.
Geneva’s operation has been upgraded to a Boeing B787 Dreamliner from the previously used single aisle Airbus A320 while for Warsaw the new aircraft deployed on the route is an Airbus A330, again upgraded from the previously used Airbus A320.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said when commenting on the changes: ‘Qatar Airways is delighted to enhance the aircraft that serve the important destinations of Guangzhou, Geneva and Warsaw, almost doubling the daily capacity across all of these routes from Doha’s Hamad International Airport. In Eastern Africa does Qatar Airways fly daily from Doha to Entebbe and Kigali but also serves Nairobi and Dar es Salaam with multiple flights besides routing some of the Dar services via Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.
In the wider region is it Djibouti, Asmara and Addis Ababa which Qatar Airways serves out of Doha, giving in particular Djibouti and Asmara links to their world wide network.
