Since its launch, the Kreol Rodrigues Festival has evolved. Today, it has become an essential part of the cultural calendar of the smallest of the other islands in the Indian Ocean.
The highlight of the 25th edition, which will take place this year from December 01st to 07th to celebrate Creole identity, will once again be the traditional regatta competition which has been anchored in Rodrigues culture for more than two decades now.
A concert by Francky Vincent will close the event.
Visiting the tourism fair, IFTM Top Resa in Paris, from September 17 to 19, Mrs Françoise Degeorges french producer of musical programs at Radio France, met Jean-Alain Wong So, Tourism Commissioner of Rodrigues and she confirmed her trip to Rodrigues as part of the Kréol Festival to produce a series of reports to be broadcast on France Musique (Radio France).
A rich and diverse program has been developed to highlight this major cultural event, very popular in Rodrigues. Organized by the Arts and Culture Commission, in collaboration with the Tourism Commission, this 2024 edition will highlight the Rodrigues destination, the Creole language, traditional dance, local cuisine and crafts.
