A change of guard is underway at the Radisson Blu in Nairobi, where after less than two years at the helm is Ian Rydin handing over to South African Rob Kucera.
William McIntyre, the Regional Manager of Radisson Hotels in East Africa, made the announcement and said: ‘Rob’s extensive industry knowledge and multifaceted skills in various hotel functions, will prove to be a great asset in driving business growth at Radisson Blu Hotel Nairobi, Upper Hill‘.
Radisson has set its eyes on further growth in Eastern Africa but spectacularly failed to bring a hotel in Kampala into the Quorvus Collection after a fallout with the owners of that property.
In Kenya is at least one more Radisson property lined up for opening, supposed to take place later this year.
Rob will no doubt get a warm welcome from his colleagues in the industry as he starts his new job on Upper Hill in Nairobi.
