Rainbow Airlines now eyes Johannesburg route after Victoria Falls

SECOND BOMBARDIER CRJ100 TO JOIN RAINBOW AS AIRLINE IS SET TO LAUNCH JOHANNESBURG FLIGHTS

After making its inaugural flight from Harare to Victoria Falls on the 26th of January has Rainbow now given the clearest indication yet that services to Johannesburg will be launched in the space of the next few days.
The new start up airline currently serves Victoria Falls three times a week and intends to also fly three times a week to Johannesburg, every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
It is understood that a second Bombardier CRJ100 is due to join the fleet before the middle of the year to then expand flights to both destinations. Applications for flights into the wider region are pending including services to Durban, Cape Town, Lubumbashi / Kinshasa, Maputo and Nairobi, Domestic flights were also mentioned as a target, such as Kariba and Bulawayo among others.

The new airline is reportedly 100 percent Zimbabwean owned and the CEO of the airline is Mr. Ed Berry, who is with other accountable managers based in Harare.
