Removal of PCR test requirements into and out of Entebbe

(Posted 29th April 2022)

A large number of questions have arisen from the previous article announcing that Uganda has halted the PCR test requirement – for fully vaccinated passengers only – both inbound and outbound.

To clarify further, Rwanda’s C19 regime remains the same, leaving the country as the only one in East Africa with regulations differing from the rest.

In fact have problems been reported by passengers destined for Uganda, where no tests are now required for arriving passengers, that at check in in Brussels they are still asked for registration forms and test results for the 1 hour transit in Rwanda. This can simply be bypassed by chosing a flight via Bujumbura into Entebbe, where no such requirements exist.

For ease of reference is a simplified image attached, hopefully resolving all pending questions.
