Fastjet, recently named as Africa’s cheapest low cost airline and as the 5th cheapest low cost airline worldwide, has today launched another innovation which will make travel easier for their passengers.
Effective immediately has the airline launched a pre-paid seat select option for all domestic and international flights from and to Tanzania.
While passengers are on check in assigned a seat at no cost, will a traveler now be able to request for a specific seat at a cost of 5 US Dollars applicable for rows 1 and 2 as well as for the emergency exit row 11 which offer more leg space.
Other pre-selected seats can be reserved at a cost of 3 US Dollars.
Ellis Cain-Jones, Head of Commercial, has this to say when making the announcement yesterday: ‘Everyone has their own favorite seat when flying, whether it’s to take advantage of extra legroom, be seated on the aisle, next to a window or at the front of the airplane. Our new pre-paid booking option will allow passengers the ability to select their preferred seats, and provide those travelling with friends or family with the reassurance that they will be seated together. We will continue to assess and introduce other products that will make our passengers’ travels more comfortable and convenient’.
The launch of the pre-booked seating option adds to Fastjet’s current services available to passengers, such as being able to rent a car, book accommodation and pre-book airport parking with any flight booking.
