The Island of Reunion exhibits at the Holidays Geneva Show

The 21st edition of the fair Holiday Geneva took place from 13th to 15th November and this year, for the first time, the event was thrown open to the general public. The Geneva Holiday Saloon was also this year integrated with Automnales, the annual fair of contemporary Geneva which runs since 2009. On that occasion, the Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) and its partners unveiled and showcased their attractions and allowed visitors to the stand to discover the destination.

This year the holidays Geneva show hosted over 80 exhibitors including Reunion which was represented by IRT with, at their side, the home airline Air Austral and hotel establishments like Saint Alexis **** Hotel & Spa, The Hermitage and Le Relais *** *** Swalibo. Usually organized earlier this year, the event was associated with Automnales, a contemporary fair in Geneva to capture a wider audience and strengthen the positioning of this show, the only one open to the public and dedicated to French-speaking Switzerland tourism at large.

On site, the Reunion exhibitors were able to verify the interest of visitors to the island of Reunion. On the stand of 15 m², more than 100 tourism trade visitors learned about the destination and in particular the major attractions, about accommodation or the beach areas. During the three-day exhibition, the tour operators and travel agents also came to meet Reunion professionals were shown the ‘new’ Reunion vacation products.

Notably were two special sessions prepared for the general public on Saturday 14th and Sunday, November 15th, which allowed visitors to the stand to see a general presentation of Reunion Island and those who exhibited on the stand.
