REUNION FEATURES IN ONE OF FRANCE’S LEADING MAGAZINES

‘EDGAR’ the French bimonthly magazine with a print run of 45.000 copies, sent a team to Reunion to explore the island’s attractions and sample the hospitality of leading resorts and restaurants, like the LUX*****, the Blue Margouillat **** and sampling the fine cuisine ‘menu fraîcheur’at the Case Pitey in the town of Saint Louis.
Dominique Peltier and Franck Garrec are roaming Reunion until the 13th of April and have already met with renowned chef Philippe Agesidame, who is famous on the island for his fusion of fine cuisine with that unique Creole touch. The team, needless to say, has also explored the rugged interior of the 2.500 square kilometer large island and been to the ‘Piton de la Fournaisse’ one of the world’s most active volcanoes.
Reunion will feature in the fall edition with a spread of four full pages, in time for the European autumn and winter season when an escape to Reunion will give tourist visitors the sun they miss as the skies over Europe at that time of year become increasingly dull and grey.
EDGAR in its editions covers such a wide range of topics like cars, sports, fashion, yachting, personalities and of course travel, and the inclusion of Reunion is expected to boost the popularity of the island among French travelers.
