(Posted 29th April 2016)

Vanilla Islands member Reunion had a splendid return to the Seychelles where the island was once again ho-host of the 2016 edition of the Carnival International de Victoria. Many opportunities arose for the Reunion team to speak with the international media and a lunch time presentation at Cap Lazare gave the more than 120 journalists a first hand experience to see the latest promotional DVD.
Four lucky winners in fact got invites to fly to Reunion, two for the total eclipse of the sun and two for the December festival when the abolition of slavery is celebrated.

Meanwhile though were promotional teams also preparing to be present at the Paris Fair which kicked off today and runs until the 08th of May.
While some emphasis there will be on the Reunion gastronomy and organic products will the island itself have the opportunity to showcase the multiple attractions which are drawing in more and more visitors every year.

A group of Chinese travel agents just concluded a visit to Reunion Island, accompanied by bloggers, photographers and videographers whose combined uploads of pictures, short video clips and articles was seen by some 20 million people who are subscribed to these services. The agency C-Trip was reportedly impressed with the standards of hotels and resorts and the attractions which wait to be discovered by travelers from China, more and more of whom are now visiting due to the lifting of Visa requirements when booking with approved operators like C-Trip.

In India did another team promote Reunion in Chennai, a destination served by Air Austral before moving on to Pondicherry where a networking dinner was held for the local travel trade.

And local rum producer Sautiers promoted their products abroad as far as San Francisco, Miami and the French capital Paris, where besides the alcoholic spirit the spirit of Reunion came to bear.
