Reunion Tourism banks of the islands’ attractions to become a honeymoon destination of choice

VALENTINE IN REUNION – NOW THERE IS A THOUGHT

(Posted 30th January 2015)

Reunion’s tourism marketers are keen to increase their share of honeymoon vacations on the island and has towards that end teamed up with EasyVoyage from France, which has an extensive client list and is known as a specialized tour agency to give newlyweds that perfect honeymoon experience.

A contact on the island made it all but clear what advantages a vacation on Reunion has for his clients: ‘Reunion is part of France. We are part of Europe. This means good infrastructure, protection for clients but European law and the application of French and European quality, hygienic, safety and security standards. That combines perfectly with our tropical climate, vegetation, the Creole cultural influence, the Creole cuisine and offerings which few other destinations can combine’.

EasyVoyages will target their clientele with a dedicate news broadcast ahead of the Valentine’s Day weekend and through a contest will offer two lucky people a trip of a life time to Reunion Island.

France recorded nearly 250.000 marriages last year and the trend is expected to continue, providing the right foundation for the marketing of honeymoon packages.

IRT, Ile de la Reunion Tourisme, has already indicated that the campaign will continue throughout the year, and probably beyond, always seeking out new market niches and increasing arrivals from the French mainland to the island. For more details on Destination Reunion click on www.reunion.fr
