Webcam and weather station, two new features developed to provide real-time information from key tourist sites in Reunion.

Two new webcams and a new weather station, these tools can give real time information on tourist places of the island of Reunion.

Two new High Definition panoramic webcams have just been installed, in July 2018, on two beautiful beaches on the west coast of the island, on the MNS stations:

The project has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Island of Reunion Tourism (IRT) and the SPL Tamarun for the deployment of these webcam on the beach area of the West Coast. The objective of these webcams is the enhancement of tourist sites and landscapes of Reunion (HD panorama of the turquoise lagoon, white sand beach, sunset).

Several remarkable places already have webcam:

This tourist enhancement tool is widely used by the local tourist clientele who visits the webcams on reunion.fr. (To check the weather for the volcano, or the beach before moving).

It is also an external tourist promotion tool: ViewSurf which provides the webcams has a partnership with the TV channels TF1 and M6 to communicate the images of the webcams (regularly used in the weather). Images of the new webcam Boucan Canot have already been broadcast in the weather TF1.
