Reunion Island Tourism will like in the past be present at the "Meeting Village" of the International Exhibition of Agriculture. For the first time, in addition to musical and culinary entertainment, an active ‘sales desk’ will be set up.
The International Agricultural Show organized every year in Paris is an essential event for the promotion of terroirs. As in 2018, a "Reunion Village" of 600m² will be set up this year to share with visitors the island’s precious local know-how and incomparable Reunion products . Fruits, aromatic and medicinal plants, geranium, rums and rums, vanilla, confectionery, homemade chocolates, jams or special sugars will be revealed to the curious and gourmands.
2019 International Agricultural Show
In this "Village Reunion", developed by the County Council, Reunion Island Tourism will have a place of choice. As last year, the IRT is in charge of the organization of the animations. The musical atmosphere will be ensured by the Ousanousava group , accompanied for the occasion by traditional dancers. On the kitchen side, Marie France Gringalet will introduce Reunion flavors through two daily cooking and tasting workshops .
New this year, a sales and booking desk will be incorporated in the stand. Visitors will benefit from expert advice from the Reunion destination and benefit from special offers presented by providers and distributors. Unusual experiences, tours, stays, but also accommodations, activities, heritage outings, transport … all the treasures of the intense island will be offered to them. A device that Reunion Island Tourism will propose this year on several French-speaking public shows.
The International Agricultural Show is held from February 23 to March 3, at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles in Paris.
The Salon in figures:
- In 2018: 675,000 visitors, including 33,000 professionals. More than 1000 exhibitors from 22 countries.
- 9 medals including 2 gold for Reunion products.
- In 2019 : 5 additional exhibitors on the "Village Réunion".
