Sixteen students from Polytechniques Mauritius – Rodrigues, create a mural under the theme: Be Smart, Go Green, as part of the 9th edition of the Rodrigues International Kitesurf Festival 2024 in Mourouk.
In Mourouk, a peaceful fishing village in the south of Rodrigues Island, this Sunday, July 21, 2024 as part of the highly anticipated event dedicated to kitesurfing, the Rodrigues International Kitesurf Festival (#RIKF) which celebrated from July 24 to 28 its 9th anniversary with a sports, festive, friendly programming and family-friendly, on one of the world’s most beautiful spots for kitesurfing “Anse Mourouk”, sixteen young people from Polytechniques Mauritius – Rodrigues were invited by the Rodrigues Kitesurfing Association (#RKA), organizer of the festival since July 2013 to paint the outer wall of “La Boutik La Plaza” located in front of the huge turquoise-colored lagoon.
For the occasion, everyone suited up a part of the wall facade and let their creativity speak, “Be Smart, Go Green”, the theme of the festival edition 2024 with a mix of colorful styles and patterns, carrying messages, to continue to promote the lovely little isolated island in the heart of the Indian ocean as a fully ecological destination.
Finally, the young students made a beautiful mural fresco illustrating environmentally friendly practices, for a greener Rodrigues Island for the happiness of the inhabitants of the coastal village highly praised by foreign travelers and attracts kitesurf lovers and enthusiasts from all over the world on a daily basis.
