The 9th edition of the Rodrigues International Kitesurfing Festival, under the theme “Be Smart, Go Green”, which will be held from July 24 to 28, 2024 at the Anse Mourouk kitesurfing spot, highly praised by amateurs and professionals from around the world, is the highlight of this event end of the month in Rodrigues.
Since 2013, this meeting of lovers of kitesurf initiated by the Rodrigues Kitesurfing Association (RKA) chaired by its initiator, Jean-Christ Spéville, is a great gathering of thousands of spectators who find themselves on the beach of C Rodrigues Mourouk (formerly called Mourouk Ebony Hotel), with its magnificent grandiose view of Anse Mourouk to fully enjoy the show on one of the most beautiful playgrounds in the world to practice kitesurfing safely on the huge turquoise-colored lagoon.
This year once again, in addition to being one of the major partners of the 2024 edition of the festival, the airline Air Mauritius through its Rodrigues manager, Nathalie Biram, reaffirmed its support to the Rodrigues Kitesurfing Association, as the official airline carrier to accompany, the sponsor of The event, Oswald Smith, the godmother, Vrinda Hamal, as well as journalists from the international and regional press invited for the occasion as they leave South Africa, Mauritius and France.
There are no direct flights from France to Rodrigues but Air Mauritius operates daily flights from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius to Plaine Corail in the south of Rodrigues Island. The flight lasts about 90 minutes. It is recommended to check flight schedules and availability to ensure your trip, to the charming smaller of the other islands of the Mascareignes archipelago.
It is an ideal destination for travelers seeking tranquility and connection with nature.
