AMENDED AIR SERVICES AGREEMENT WILL ALLOW RWANDAIR TO ADD ABUJA TO THEIR NETWORK
(Posted 27th November 2017)
The third annual International Civil Aviation Organisation World Aviation Forum 2017 took place in Abuja, Nigeria last week from 22nd to 25th of November. Held under the theme ‘Financing the Development of Aviation Infrastructure‘ did the conference bring together ICAO member countries from around the world.Rwanda’s Minister of State for Infrastructure Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye concluded negotiations on the sidelines of the meeting with his Nigerian counterparts and an amended Bilateral Air Services Agreement is due to be signed soon in Kigali.
Under the new deal will RwandAir be able to fly to Abuja after already serving Lagos with an Airbus A330 on a daily basis.
RwandAir is reportedly keen to offer flights to Abuja and the routing could be a triangular service combining the present Kigali to Lagos route with the return flight stopping over in Abuja.
