KigaliUP Nurtures Local Musicians in Quarterly Event

The second installment of the SoundCheck series will be an open air jam session at Kempinski’s Hotel des Milles Collines featuring local Rwandan musicians and a special “mystery guest star” from Nigeria.

Gisovu Opens in Nyungwe Park, Boasts ‘the Furthest Source of the Nile’ and Rwanda’s Largest Chimpanzee Population

Easily accessible from Kigali, Gisovu becomes another “must-see” location for visitors to Rwanda.

  • Nyungwe Parkk is home to approximately 400 chimpanzees, the largest population in Rwanda. Gisovu, 
  • In addition to several wild chimp communities, there is a currently semi-habituated group in Gisovu
  • The Gisovu Tea Estate is situated at an altitude of 7,500 feet above sea level, on the edge of Nyungwe Forest and close to the furthest source of the River Nile.   • Visitors can also hike one of the many trails ranging from easy self-guided to moderate or challenging hikes where guides are recommended. The region is ideal for spotting some of the 86 mammal species, 14 of which are endemic to the Albertine Rift
