RwandAir uses fifth freedom rights to better connect West Africa

RWANDAIR CONNECTS LIBREVILLE VIA DOUALA TO ABIDJAN

(Posted 08th March 2017)

RwandAir, Africa’s fastest growing airline, has confirmed that they are now, under fifth freedom rights, connecting Libreville with Abidjan, via Douala. This added connection has vastly improved connectivity between these three major West African cities without having to fly half way across the continent to reach the final destination.
Set to launch services on the 03rd of April to Mumbai, has the airline improved their West Africa network ahead of going intercontinental for the first time in its history to tap into that market for passengers traveling to India with them via Kigali.
Later in the year will flights to London’s Gatwick airport and – if all goes well on the regulatory front – even flights to New York follow, expanding the reach of the Rwandan national carrier even further and cementing Kigali’s growing reputation as a leading African MICE destination.
In May is another brand new Boeing B737-800NG joining the fleet to make it a full dozen planes, this latest acquisition also equipped with an on board WiFi system.
