RWANDAIR’S THIRD A330 – AN A330-900NEO – IS NEARING COMPLETION
(Posted 18th February 2019)
RwandAir’s latest acquisition, an Airbus A330-900NEO, is already sporting her livery in Toulouse, where the aircraft was assembled.
RwandAir has two of the NEO version of the A330 on order and both aircraft are expected to be delivered this year.
The airline is planning to launch flights to New York, as soon as regulatory and pending permit applications have been resolved but has also announced some time ago that services to China too are on the drawing board.
RwandAir presently deploys their two A330’s – one -200 and one -300 version – on the routes from Kigali to Dubai and from Kigali to Lagos, though other destinations are also periodically served by the wide bodied aircraft.
Additional orders for single aisle aircraft have also reportedly been placed to both expand the fleet and to allow for the phasing out of other aircraft types.
